How We Started

It started simple. We noticed something frustrating in the fitness world — most programs either ignored adults over 40 or treated them like they needed to be wrapped in cotton wool. That's not right. People in their 40s and 50s don't want to be coddled. They want real training, genuine community, and activities that actually fit their lives.

grimshore.org Ltd launched in 2019 because we saw the gap. We weren't interested in creating just another gym membership or a generic walking group. We wanted something different. Swimming sessions that challenge and strengthen. CrossFit classes built specifically for bodies with real experience. Walking clubs that become genuine friendships. And trainer challenges — proper competitive events — that prove you're still in the game.

What we've built over the past few years isn't a business. It's a movement. We've worked with over 1,200 people across 15 UK locations. Swimming participants have gone from nervous beginners to confident swimmers. CrossFit athletes over 45 are hitting personal records. Walking club members are training for marathons. That matters.

What We Actually Do

Swimming Sessions

Twice weekly sessions covering technique, endurance, and confidence. We're not teaching kids' swimming — this is proper stroke work. Breathing patterns, flip turns, distance building. You'll feel the difference in 4 weeks.

CrossFit Classes

Functional fitness for bodies that know what they're doing. We scale everything properly — no ego lifting. You'll work alongside people your age doing real strength and conditioning training.

Walking Clubs

Guided walks across beautiful UK terrain. Different routes weekly — some gentle, some challenging. Plus the social side. These aren't solitary walks. They're friendships built on shared miles.

Trainer Challenges
